Great for cement

I bought this so I can drill some holes on cement to put new gate rails, the rotary hammer drill works better then a hammer drill since it has a hammer movement and drilling at the same time which it works better on cement. This is totally worth buying it if you need to drill holes on cement, however you will need to buy the drill bits for this rotary hammer drill.

This thing is the real deal!

I tried drilling some 1/2" holes in concrete with a cordless hammer drill. It took soooooo long just to drill one hole. The bit would get super hot, and the drill would overheat and shut off. In frustration I bought this thing.

WOW! It took me maybe 30 seconds to drill the same hole with this thing. It was like a hot knife cutting butter. I drilled all the holes I needed to in no time flat. This thing is awesome.

This really feels like a quality product!

I bought this to remove the old tiles on my kitchen counter without removing all the wood trim. When I needed a Rotary Hammer, I checked this one out and I was not disappointed! It gave me the control I needed to get into tight places without tearing everything up. It saved me hours of time, and our new kitchen counter looks wonderful!

Does the job

I bought this to break up tile in my basement. It handled it easily. Before buying I review this model against the Bosch Bulldog Xtreme. I think either one would to the job, but this one was about $10 less. Something to note; I used this drill for about an hour of continuous use. When I finished the job I noticed lubricant on the bit when I removed it. I looked through the manual to find if there were any details about it. The only thing I could find is that the drill would need to be serviced by an authorized servicer to add more lube if needed, and it's recommended that it be serviced regularly. I'm not about to do that. So, I guess we will see how long it lasts. I don't know if the Bosch Bulldog Xtreme has the same recommendation, but I will try that one next when this one is no longer useful.

Where has this been all my life?

OK, maybe a bot dramatic. But I wasted a good deal of time and effort attempting to drill into a basement slab with an 18V multi drill with hammer drill selected. It took f o r e v v v e r to drill a 5" hole, with the drill and battery getting extremely hot and my ears and palms nearly numb. A quick bit of research turned up this little gem. The next day I was drilling holes as if into pine. It's really astounding how dramatically better this proper tool is for the job than its pretending cordless cousin. My new favorite tool.
